What is a domain name?
A domain name is the unique web address where visitors will find your site, e.g. yourname.co.uk

Can I have any domain name?
A domain name must be available.  If nobody else is using the name you require then we can register it for you.  We will carry out a search on possible domain names based on the criteria you set.  Domain names are provided free with our web design packages.

What is hosting?
Hosting is where your website is stored.  All our sites are hosted on dedicated web servers.

What happens after the first year?
You have the option of renewing your hosting package, in addition to a continued service package.  Alternatively, if you are not happy with the service you have received you are free to transfer your domain to another provider.

How do I know what type of website I need?
Following a consultation we will recommend the best site to meet your requirements.

Can I update content on my website myself?
We can set up site using content management systems which will enable you to update the content yourself.

What is webmail?
All our websites come with free webmail.  Webmail is an internet based mail system.  This means you can access your emails from any PC with an internet connection.

Can I use my email address with my mail software, e.g. Microsoft Outlook?
Yes, the email accounts are POP3.  W can provide you with the necessary settings to set up your software.
